![]() Q) Do the restrictions seem to remain in place, while Screen Time is disabled?Ī) Yes. I have tried "Turn Off Screen Time" to disable it completely before. Q) Have I tried disabling Screen Time completely?Ī) Yes. Or should I just backup as much things as I can, bite the bullet, and factory reset. How can I be sure that when I factory reset my phone, my documents and data still exist but the legacy restrictions are disabled? I'm not sure I'm able to pay for iCloud at this time, anyway. Can DFU Mode go back to iOS 11 on an iPhone XR? I saw a post saying to use Find My iPhone to set up the device, but wouldn't it delete all my data? Let's say I buy more iCloud storage to make a full backup of my phone. What are my options here? I'd like to preserve my documents and data if possible. It should've been able to sync the changes if it could, so I'm guessing legacy restrictions cant be disabled via syncing, only to be solved locally on my iPhone. I have (a small amount of) free space on iCloud, enabled Keychain syncing on both devices, and successfully tested syncing folders in iCloud drive. I disabled legacy restrictions through my iPad, hoping it would sync the changes to my iPhone. My issue is that legacy restrictions cant be disabled, let alone VIEWED in the Settings app on my iPhone YET, they are still active and controlling it! For instance, I have explicitly enabled the "allow 17+ apps" setting in Screen Time, yet I cant download or open 17+ apps anyway because of hidden legacy restrictions. ![]() I call them "legacy" restrictions because they have been replaced with the new Screen Time restrictions in iOS 12+. My iPad was set up with legacy restrictions enabled. The device types are not super important, the iOS version is. I have 2 main devices in question: my iPad (iOS 11), and my iPhone XR (iOS 14).
